Introduction

Chevron Phillips is currently seeking an Operations Support Coordinator (OSC) to join the Manufacturing organization at the Cedar Bayou facility in Baytown, TX. This role ensures efficient day-to-day operations through workforce scheduling, procurement coordination, and systems management. The OSC serves as a key point of coordination between operations, supply chain, and administrative resources, supporting safe and reliable unit performance in a dynamic plant environment. The position is in an office within a plant operating area and requires appropriate personnel protective equipment.      ***This position is eligible for the 4/10 schedule***

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Unit Scheduler for assigned process units with responsibility for:
    • Developing unit coverage schedules for all shifts, ensuring required training and vacancies are filled per CPC scheduling policies and procedures.
  • Assist in Chemical Ordering process for assigned unit
    • Includes creating purchase requisitions in SAP, maintaining chemical receipts, processing goods receipts in SAP, and serve as liaison for chemical deliveries to the unit
  • Provide administrative support to the unit
    • Includes ordering various supplies (field tools/office supplies), coordinating deliveries from stores when needed, and ensuring ProCard purchases are tracked and filed in the expense system (Concur)
  • Serve as owner and administrator of various unit Distribution Lists, Folders, and/or Sharepoint sites

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 3-year job-related administrative experience in a plant, petrochemical, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel formulas and basic formatting) and MS Outlook required.  
  • The position is in an office within a plant operating area and requires appropriate personnel protective equipment.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills with ability to manage & prioritize multiple projects.
  • Good interpersonal skills; must have the ability to communicate and coordinate workflow assertively and diplomatically at all levels of the company.
  • Must be able to work independently and to initiate administrative improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP
  • Previous experience supporting manufacturing or operations teams
  • Familiarity with workforce scheduling and planning processes, specifically the 12-hour “Dupont” schedule
