Responsibilities
• To understand and comply with safety and OE policies, procedures, standards, rules and regulations.
• Promotes the sale of assigned products in the assigned area by personal visits, correspondence, and telephone, as well as through agents.
• Attends to customers’ inquiries, complaints and feedback, seeing to the satisfactory resolution of all customers’ issues.
• Solicits approves and services customers’ orders, referring them to the principal for acceptance where applicable.
• Monitors and collects payments from customers, developing and implementing effective programs to manage any delinquent account.
• Prepares proposals to establish or renew on a timely basis credit lines to current or prospective customers.
• Within the authorized price authority limits, determines market prices of assigned products and adjusts prices within authorized limits to meet competitive situation.
• Provides both technical and business assistance to customers, potential customers, as well as agents whenever possible and refers requests for unavailable technical and business information to the appropriate groups within the company.
• Prepares short and long range forecast of sales of assigned products, for use in sales marketing / management or sales / marketing plans.
• Summarizes and analyzes data and information and recommends course of action to use to maintain and improve company’s sales position.
• Reviews customers’ request for quotation of assigned products.
• Recommends solutions to such technical problems as product compound, processing, application, packaging, quality, shipping and handling.
• Submits recommendations and opinions to supervisor regarding such matters as prices, credit terms and limits, advertising, sales efforts, business and technical services and area marketing operations.
• Reports product non-conformances and customer complaints to immediate superior for corrective action.
Required Qualifications
- Degree holder in engineering, science, and other related discipline
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, self-driven, fast learning, and can work proactively and independently
- Fluent in spoken / written English and Putonghua
- 10 years or above sales or related working experience in polymers industry
- Good team player and able to work as a group to achieve goals
- Proven track record to achieve company assigned goals
