Introduction
Americas Polyalphaolefin (PAO) is seeking a proactive and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Inside Sales Representative. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for direct customer sales and will support revenue growth through remote account management, lead qualifications and pipeline development while building foundational sales skills. In this role, the successful candidates will collaborate closely with Product Management, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Legal, and Credit teams to support customer and business needs. Additional responsibilities include gathering and analyzing market intelligence for their product lines, sharing insights across the organization, qualifying inbound leads generated through web inquiries and referrals, and developing new business opportunities. The positions are also accountable for achieving annual sales objectives and budget targets, managing territory sales expenses, preparing customer demand forecasts, and maintaining accurate customer pricing information within company systems.
This position is based at our Headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas. Relocation may be required for future regional sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing customer relationships through proactive engagement
- Communication and coordination with internal Product Management, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Legal, and Credit teams
- Position CPChem as a value-added business partner for its customers
- Develop creative solutions to effectively address customer problems
- Grow accounts by increasing share, driving cross-selling, and expanding product use
- Gather market data and intelligence for product line and share information within organization
- Qualify inbound leads (web, referrals) and develop new opportunities
- Develop and meet sales objectives which include annual budgets
- Generate customer forecasts and enter customer prices into database
- Generate revenue through effective opportunity management and customer engagement
- Maintain accurate CRM data and provide regular pipeline reporting
- Analyze sales and account data to identify growth opportunities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience
- Strong performance in a current commercial, technical, or operational role
- Must be willing to travel as needed
- Demonstrates aptitude for sales and problem solving
- Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills and have a demonstrated record of effective communication and teamwork
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
- A high capability for self-management/ self-initiative
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or Business
- At least 3 years of chemical industry experience
- Prior commercial experience
- Product line experience
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
