Introduction

Join CPChem as a Specialist – Feedstock Logistics within our Petrochemicals division, located in The Woodlands, TX. This role manages a broad range of commercial activities, including distribution, logistics planning, and administration of raw NGL feedstocks. Responsibilities include daily coordination with manufacturing units; scheduling, coordinating, and managing pipeline transfers of raw NGL feedstocks across multiple pipelines, storage terminals, and consuming facilities; and tracking purchases, sales, inventory, and product shipments to ensure a reliable supply of feedstocks. The position also supports commercial and financial processes by processing customer and vendor invoices in accordance with contract terms, executing monthly financial close activities in compliance with SOX requirements, and partnering closely with Finance to ensure adherence to accounting policies.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes key feedstock inputs, specifications, and quality parameters for production forecasts with moderate supervision.
  • Models supply/demand dynamics and price scenarios for critical feedstocks with some guidance.
  • Oversees feedstock testing and quality control processes, ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Analyzes commodity inventory positions across locations to improve working capital, providing recommendations.
  • Stays current on technologies, supply sources, and sustainability trends impacting feedstocks, sharing insights with the team.
  • Researches and implements innovations related to feedstock storage, quality management, and flow automation.
  • Leads analyses into feedstock process improvements and strategic partnerships, collaborating with senior staff.
  • Ensures enterprise-wide compliance with product line standards, providing training and support as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing or Chemical Science/Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Technology/R&T or Supply Chain Management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP
  • Logistics knowledge or experience
