Performance Pipe, Brownwood, Texas, is seeking a full time employee in a 24/7/365 polyethylene pipe manufacturing extrusion operation, producing high quality polyethylene products. Available position requires the ability to work safely in a team-oriented environment.  Previous manufacturing experience preferred and plastics extrusion process experience a plus.  Applicants must be available to work rotating 12-hr shifts (including weekends and holidays). Hours are 6:45 am until 7 pm or 6:45 pm until 7 am. Must be 18 years or older, high school education or GED required in addition to a valid driver's license.

We are looking for detail oriented candidates who have a demonstrated work history of shift work, in addition to working injury free and following work place/plant safety practices and procedures.  Pay is on a bi-weekly basis- 1st week is 36.75 hours, 2nd week is 49 hours with time and one-half (1.5) paid for hours worked afer 40 hours in a week.  Entry level pay rate is $15.25 per hour with progressive increases starting after completing a successful probationary period and 4 months demonstrated learning ability the rate increases to $16.32 hr. Potential for year end bonus a plus!.

 

Job duties include but not limited to:

Safety- Must participate in daily safety routines.

Perform calibration functions on processing equipment, use of basic hand and power tools.

Measure pipe and verify that dimensional tolerances are within acceptable criteria.

Prepare product for shipping per various packaging requirements.

Assist Team mates as required.

 

Successful candidates will need the following qualifications:

General knowledge and experience using various types of hand tools.

Basic computer and math skills.

Proficient in communicating in English language (both verbal and written).

Capable of lifting approximately 30 lbs. without an assist.

Capable of standing for long periods of time on concrete flooring.
