Performance Pipe, a Division of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP, a multi-plant manufacturer of polyethylene pipe and extrusion products throughout the U.S., is seeking a Production Scheduler located in our Plano, Texas office.


Position is responsible for the following:

  • Use SAP to schedule production orders to maximize production efficiencies and customer order fulfillment for assigned production facilities.
  • Maintain material masters regarding set-up of new material numbers, bills of materials, routings, material costing and safety stock levels.
  • Provide estimated start-up dates on customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Communicate production changes to Customer Service personnel and work diligently to minimize impacts associated with delays.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet market needs and/or company guidelines while minimizing the use of working capital.
  • Determine and manage planned inventory/safety stock levels for pipe production facilities.
  • Work with the Pricing/Sales team to identify potential orders where production efficiencies are gained.
  • Gather data and prepare reports related to production planning/scheduling.
  • Provide purchasing support for raw materials thru contracted suppliers within DOA.
  • Related duties may include order management, 3rd party supplier management, pricing, master data and billing issues.


Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required and customer service experience is strongly preferred.  In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 6 years experience in customer service and sales negotiations will be required.  Qualified candidates will also possess multiple years (5+) of production and/or customer service experience in a manufacturing environment. Candidate must demonstrate excellent analytical skills, strong problem solving and multi-tasking capabilities, logistics experience and outstanding communication skills. Candidate must possess the ability to support company objectives in a highly dynamic environment as well as a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Computer skills including SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) are a must.  Knowledge of polyethylene pipe products is highly desired.


Final grade level determination is based upon the job duties and the candidate's qualifications and experience. Individual Contributors who are above journey level grades may be considered.
