We have an immediate opening for an IT Supply Chain Analyst at our offices in The Woodlands, Texas to be responsible for the education, configuration, exploitation, and support of the technology solutions in the area of customer pricing with Company’s Vendavo Pricing Management Application, which includes including Vendavo proprietary solutions of VSL, VQL and UII, and integrating systems related to SAP sales and distribution.

 

Other responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide additional support in the area of Supply Chain SAP and portal solutions.
  • Serve as the primary contact on all system issues and future functionality needs related to assigned modules. Work directly with internal CPC IT and external staff on functionality design and development issues.
  • Responsible for working with and directing relationships with third party IT contractors. Provide CPC-wide support, consultation, and positive interaction with users of assigned systems to further understanding on the broad and effective use of the systems.
  • Participate in addressing and resolving issues gathered via the customer support help desk.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the business processes supported by the assigned modules. Coordinate and maintain close alignment with business users of the applications to plan for changes to the software and to ensure it continues to support the business processes into the future. Participate as an active member of the CPC IT team.
  • Assume ownership for a designated set of system files, tables, data elements, reports, allocations, and special functions, including validation of data, security, advising on field definitions and usage, and advising on report setup, mechanics and purpose.
  • Provide technical consultation as to the best use of the system in solving business problems. Develop good understanding and expertise in the broader functionality of the core systems beyond the assigned modules in order to have a sense of the integration and where data originates.
  • Provide backup and consultation on other core systems in the absence of the more directly involved module expert(s). Drive the planning and managing the installation of new and interim releases of Vendavo and other software.
  • Maintain ownership of the procedures for interfaces between assigned modules and other applications. Participate on study teams with other CPC IT department members, system users, and vendors on issues of leveraging IT opportunities, evaluation of new technology, evaluation of customer needs, etc. Participate in new application delivery teams through project steps, including evaluation of buy vs. build alternatives and application implementation.
  • Participate in preparation and maintenance of training materials for assigned modules and in the training of users, other IT team members, etc. Mentor junior team members, as needed. 
  • Up to 10% U.S. & international travels

 

Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, MIS, Computer Science or related field of study plus (60) months progressive experience servicing the petro-chemical industry with direct hands-on experience with IT projects and/or groups focused on the deployment or support of IT end user applications, specifically direct experience designing, configuring, testing and supporting the Vendavo Pricing Management System, including Vendavo proprietary solutions of VSL, VQL and UII, and Integrating systems related to SAP Sales and Distribution; and working with and directing relationships with third party IT contractors.
