  • Supports process optimization efforts to improve plant safety, profitability, and efficiency
  • Coordinates capital and/or expense projects in the $5M to $5MM range for control strategies and process optimization
  • Supports site for off-hour call-out duties
  • Provides training and work direction to contract team members
  • Reviews and manages the documentation of system standards, control procedures, and DCS architecture, and complex control schemes 
  • Participates in plant process safety management 

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering
  • At least 1 year of experience with petrochemical processes 
  • Experience with process control automation systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills 
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal/external organizations, consultants, and vendors
  • Ability to mentor and train team members on process control topics
  • A self-starter with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Proficient in reading and understanding design documents such as P&IDs, instrument loop drawings, schematics, and Booleans
  • Solid project management skills related to APC control items

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience related to polyolefins manufacturing, including high-pressure autoclave/Tubular (LDPE), gas-phase polyethylene units and/or loop reactors 
  • Experience with Foxboro I/A DCS, Yokogawa, Honeywell, and/or ABB DCS or equivalent DCS systems
  • Experience in Chemical/Instrument/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
