We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our team as Fixed Equipment Analyst for our Maintenance Department located at the Port Arthur Plant in Port Arthur, Texas.

 

The following is a summary of the position's job duties:

  • Perform inspections of fixed equipment (both compliance and repairs), develop and manage recommendations and communicate corrective actions to customers
  • Develop/maintain long-term and short-term reliability asset management plans for fixed equipment in assigned area
  • Develop/maintain inspection procedures and strategies to establish routine monitoring programs for fixed equipment in assigned area
  • Utilize, maintain and manage Meridium reliability database of fixed equipment inspection findings, condition monitoring, and recommendations for assigned area ensuring PSM compliance
  • Utilize data to analyze and make proactive recommendations to prevent equipment failure
  • Perform and participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis and incident investigations
  • Develop repair scopes and procedures for fixed equipment in assigned area
  • Participate in planning and scheduling process with operations and maintenance personnel to follow up on work notifications for routine or TA activities
  • Lead, research and propose capital or expense projects to enhance plant equipment reliability efforts
  • Support Capital and Expense Project work by providing technical support to customers in assigned area
  • Monitor contract maintenance and new construction activities to ensure compliance with all code regulations and engineering specifications
  • Monitor contract NDE activities, personnel and procedures
  • Perform quality control/inspections by visiting vendor repair shops to ensure company specifications are properly followed and completed when required

 

Required qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Adaptable and willing to learn and grow to strengthen plant fixed equipment reliability program
  • Five (5) or more years Fixed Equipment reliability experience
  • Ten (10) or more years’ experience in the Petrochemical Industry, minimum five (5) years in fixed equipment inspection required
  • Certification in API 510 and API 570
  • Demonstrated radiographic film interpretation experience
  • Knowledge of industry Codes and Standards and inspection techniques such as ASME, API, ASNT, etc.
  • Proven ability through experience to analyze equipment performance and troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Detailed and disciplined approach to data gathering, and strong use of risk based decision making
  • Proficiency with computers and MS Office tools

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in API 653
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
  • General Ethylene manufacturing process experience and background in associated equipment inspection
  • Working knowledge of Meridium and SAP
  • API 581 RBI program experience
