We are seeking a Lab Technician to join our team at our Research and Technology site in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  The Lab Technician will responsible for independently performing tests using a bench scale polymer extruder and mixing bowl, an FTIR, DSC, TGA, and DMA.



  • The position will be responsible for regular maintenance and calibration of the equipment as necessary.
  • The position will require the individual to work with equipment vendors in trouble-shooting problems and coordinating and overseeing vendor service calls.
  • The position will be expected to be responsible for the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual safety compliance of the laboratory.
  • This position will require extensive computer usage and skills. 
  • The position will routinely perform data gathering, data charting, limited data analysis, data recording and data transmittal to customers on a regular and ongoing basis.
  • The position will be responsible for reviewing and generating necessary SOPs and conducting JSAs as needed.
  • The position will be expected to work well in a team environment with other technicians as well as with a cross-section of the laboratory customer base.
  • The position requires good oral and written communication skills. 


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 3 years of work expereince.
  • Must be able to operate a bench scale polymer extruder and mixing bowl, which requires regular strenuous activity.
  • The ability to keep a well-organized laboratory notebook is required.
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required as well as solid interpersonal skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with plastics processing equipment in a manufacturing, fabrication or testing environment. 
  • Experience in a Laboratory/Research setting.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and maintaining laboratory equipment and computer hardware.
