Purpose/Introduction

The Reliability Coordinator (RC) leads and directs the Research & Technology (R&T) site reliability, asset integrity and mechanical integrity activities.  As such, the RC ensures the ongoing reliability of pressure vessels, relief devices, process piping, rotating and I&E equipment through implementing and maintaining a PSM-level mechanical integrity program. This position will ensure the quality of the inspection process, the optimum use of inspection contractors, act as internal technical advisor, and assume multiple project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads the site with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Reliability Program for R&T assets. Responsible for evaluating inspection practices to optimize inspection processes and costs.
  • Accountable for defining and implementing strategies for improved equipment reliability.
  • Selects and directs inspection contractor efforts needed to assure the integrity of the assets.
  • Develops and maintains the Bartlesville Master Equipment Access Database (BarMEAD) to manage critical Mechanical Integrity activities.
  • Reviews all inspection documentation to assure technical accuracy and provides repair recommendations and options.
  • Liaison with the site maintenance, corporate and owner company organizations on inspection and mechanical integrity.  Serves on CPChem Reliability Network (RAN) and owner company Mechanical Integrity Team. Serves on Fixed and Rotating Equipment Best Practice Teams.
  • Maintains, populates, and publishes reliability and integrity metrics scorecards.
  • Assists with turnaround scope development and serves on turnaround coordinating team.
  • Reviews and implements Required Manufacturing Standards (RMS) involving equipment reliability.  Provides scope and budgetary estimates to carry out initiatives.
  • Provides pilot plant support for day-to-day reliable operations and maintenance, participating on and/or facilitating MOCs and incident investigations.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience.
  • The ability to create, build and maintain positive working relationships with employees and contractors at all levels.
  • Must be a self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • This position requires ~10% travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing and maintaining a mechanical integrity program under OSHA 1910.119 (j) is desired.
  • Experience in API-510, API-570, API-579, API-571, API 576, API 618, API 674 ASTM specifications, ASME Section VIII Div. 1, ASME B31.3, and ASNT NDE is desired.
