Purpose/Introduction

Responsibilities

  • Set and remove molds and trouble shoot the molding process to produce a quality part
  • Repairs, oil and water leaks, complete documentation, performs material changes and measures parts.
  • Provide break coverage for Molding Operators.
  • Follows safe work practices, basic maintenance procedures and contributes to a safe work culture
  • Follows the Tenets of Operations, COO/OD, and Life Saving Rules 
  • Successfully operates a forklift
  • Uses basic power tools (including chainsaw)
  • Successfully uses pallet jacks, bins, and platform ladders
  • Works with overhead cranes
  • Assists and collaborates with teammates
  • Assists the shift supervisor in leading all team members on production shifts
  • Ability to fill the shift supervisor role on a short-term basis and for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work 12 with rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must pass all MOBI requirements/physicals (if not currently in MOBI program) for forklifts and cranes and possess the ability to operate this equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience using various types of tools
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Experience learning and applying new information/technology with math and learning skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment while also accomplishing self-directed tasks
  • Commitment to safety processes
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively to team members
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
  • General computer skills (Microsoft Office, LMS, BMDES, and web browsers)
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. waist-high without assistance
  • Capable of standing for long periods of time on concrete flooring
