Chevron Phillips is seeking an Application Support Analyst in the Information Technology group located at Chevron Phillips Chemical's Cedar Bayou plant. This position reports to the Cedar Bayou IT Manager. This critical IT support position will be responsible supporting various critical manufacturing software systems, participate in complex project implementations involving multiple technologies, as well as provide after hours on call rotation duties with other team members.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Supports project resources by being knowledgeable in subject matter areas aligned to assigned initiatives
  • Managing IT projects with strong attention to detail
  • Effectively partners and collaborates with business leaders and working teams to position and support engagements
  • Communicates effectively with technology and business teams independently
  • Manage Wi-Fi infrastructure projects
  • Manage Agilent OpenLab system
  • Support critical Cedar Bayou Applications including AspenTech Manufacturing/Engineering Suites
  • Act as liaison between internal customers and HQ Computing Solutions
  • Implement IT strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Conducting risk assessments for projects
  • Organization and facilitation of meetings
  • Builds effective long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders
  • Collaborates across teams to solve challenging, high-value problems
  • Shares and incorporates best practices from the industry using new and upcoming tools and technologies

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or similar technical field
  • 3+ years of IT application support experience
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple projects in a manufacturing plant
  • Setting project goals and developing plans to meet those goals
  • Experience in maintaining project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports
  • Experience managing resources for projects, such as computer equipment and employees
  • Experience coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated collaboration with individuals outside of immediate workgroup.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
  • Very strong customer service orientation, including evening/weekend work in response to business needs.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and testing abilities
  • Strong commitment to safety

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP certification)
  • Knowledge of Agile project methodology
  • Knowledge of processes for change management, cloud reviews, privacy assessments, and project management
  • Knowledge of project management systems and processes
  • Experience with plant environments
