Purpose/Introduction

This position is responsible for leading reliability and continuous improvement efforts in our Polyethylene units. This position works in the Rotating Equipment Reliability group and reports to the Rotating Equipment Reliability Specialist team lead.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Unit Reliability Team to identify, prioritize, and solve Bad Actors
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure alignment on path forward of reliability solutions including operations, maintenance, global process engineering, corporate engineering, local engineering teams
  • Support and collaborate with plant and corporate subject matter experts (SMEs) on rotating equipment changes
  • Oversee and monitor hyper-compressor operation and reliability strategy
  • Provide input to yearly expense and capital budget plans based on reliability strategy for PE
  • Deliver long term vision for preventative and predictive maintenance for Polyethylene
  • Review Solomon RAM and Townsend Benchmarking Studies and deliver improved on-stream time
  • Support and lead root cause analysis efforts
  • Participate in PE Turnarounds and outage scope development
  • Participate in PE outages, reactor outages and support startup and shutdown efforts
  • Mentor reliability engineers to grow plant capability and competency
  • Develop and Provide appropriate training and guidance to operations and crafts to improve performance
  • Provide off-site and on-site shop oversight for key equipment repairs
  • Participate in unit quality and process efforts as applicable

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Engineering Degree
  • 7+ years PE experience
  • 5+ years extruder experience
  • 12+ years Industry Plant Experience
  • Experience in solution, gas and autoclave technology and equipment as it relates to these technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with root cause analysis program
  • Familiar with SAP
  • Familiar with Meridium
  • Participant in Industry PE conferences and forums
