Purpose/Introduction

Performance Pipe is currently seeking Production Operators to join the Knoxville, TN manufacturing location.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in daily safety routines (both as an individual and team member).
  • Performs calibration functions on processing equipment.
  • Uses basic hand and power tools.
  • Measures pipe and verifies that dimensional tolerances are within acceptable criteria.
  • Prepares product for shipping per various packaging requirements.
  • Assists team mates as required.
  • Capable of lifting approximately 50 lbs. without an assist.
  • Capable of standing for long periods of time on concrete flooring.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum education of High School education or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Detail-oriented candidates who have a demonstrated work history of shift work, in addition to working injury free and following work place/plant safety practices and procedures. 
  • Ability to work safely in a team-oriented environment.
  • General knowledge and experience using various types of hand tools.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • A demonstrated history of learning and applying new information and technology with math and learning skills.
  • Proficient in communicating in English language (both verbal and written).
  • Available to work rotating 12-hr shifts (including weekends and holidays).

Preferred Qualifications

⦁    Experience in a manufacturing environment
⦁    Plastics extrusion process experience

  • Wages are paid bi-weekly. Starting pay for this position is $22.74/hr with time and one-half (1.5) paid for hours worked after 40 hours in a week.  After completing a 120-day successful probationary period and 4 month demonstrated learning, ability the rate increases to $23.95/hr. Employees are reviewed thereafter on a regular schedule for potential increases.
  • Rotating 12-hr shifts (including weekend and holidays)
