Purpose/Introduction

Performance Pipe is currently seeking a Quality Manager. The Quality Manager is responsible for managing our ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ensuring compliance of our processes and products with national and international standards as well as customer requirements. The Quality Manager is a dotted-line team leader for the Services Supervisors at each Performance Pipe plant. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and champion overall Division quality strategy, quality objectives, policies, and procedures, continuous improvement initiatives, risk mitigation, gap assessment and closure.
  • Provides direction, education, support, and resources to the plant Quality staff and fosters the development of the plants Quality Assurance staff as a team.
  • Direct and manage the internal and external auditing of Performance Pipe facilities and suppliers.
  • Provide frequent and period updates to the Performance Pipe Leadership Team of the health of the overall quality system.
  • Provide ownership of the customer feedback system and work with all appropriate parties to drive resolution to all customer complaints to ensure manufacturing capabilities are aligned with customer needs.
  • Maintain the quality system to ensure that it supports the business strategic goals and is in compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Company liaison with regulatory agencies, establish and maintain 3rd party listings and ensure compliance with these agency regulations, such as IAPMO, CSA, FM, UL, NSF, CNCP and any others as needed to support sales.
  • Provide support as needed to the commercial group in the development of new products.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to business, technical or quality control
  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant quality work experience
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong influential leadership skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships to collaborate with cross-functional teams and value diverse perspectives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office software applications

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Quality testing and polyethylene pipe manufacturing experience
  • Quality management experience
  • Working knowledge of pipe product standards
  • Lead auditor designation
