Responsibilities

Proven expertise in safely performing job responsibilities

Working with maintenance personnel, operations personnel, engineers, and management to solve manufacturing problems related to troubleshooting, repairing, and relacing instrument, control, and electrical systems

Install, diagnose & repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical components of industrial machinery and equipment

Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as extruders, process tanks, conveyors, saws, programmable controllers, support equipment, etc.

Working knowledge of motor controls, VFD’s, DC drives, etc.

Knowledge of GE/Allen Bradley/Direct Logic PLC’s is required and familiarity with the associated integrated Window software to analyze control system logic.

Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as PLC’s, transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.

Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with the other team members; repairs the problem either be self or with other team members.

Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices

Knowledge of single and 3-phase up to 480 volts.

Hands on experience in designing, modifying, installing, commissioning and documentation of industrial control systems and sub-systems.

Plans layout of wiring and stalls wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings

Tests electronic components and circuits to locate defects. Replaces defective components and wiring and adjusts mechanical arts. Aligns, adjusts, and calibrates equipment according to specifications.

Maintains records of repairs, calibrations, and test.

Enters information into computer to copy program from one electronic component to another, or to draw, modify or store schematics.
This is a salary positions with rotational on-call responsibilities and potential for Overtime.
Required Qualifications
⦁ High School Diploma/GED
⦁ At least 5 years of direct related experience
⦁ Process maintenance experience related to Instrument Technology
⦁ Ability to accommodate overtime and rotational on-call hours
⦁ Ability to read equipment prints, secure information from OEM manuals, and proficiency with measurement tools
⦁ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions in challenging technical situations
⦁ Ability to read schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts
⦁ Experience troubleshooting equipment failures and examining process conditions/impacts to recommend improvements
⦁ Understanding of analyzer communication networks, fiber optic systems, and hardware
⦁ Physical requirements associated with the position
Preferred Qualifications
⦁ Associate Degree or higher in Instrumentation or related field
