Purpose/Introduction
Chevron Phillips Chemical - Sweeny, Clemens & Old Ocean has an Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Administrative Assistant position available at located in Sweeny, Texas. This position is an on-site role and reports to the EHS&S Manager. The successful candidate should have the ability to work cross-functionally and with personnel of various levels throughout the organization, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and possess exceptional planning and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Provides general administrative support to the EHS&S groups and team members
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Coordinator
- Manages departmental requisitions and budget
- Monitors and updates departmental accruals
- Coordinates business meals
- Maintains a pro-card in good standing for purchases
- Prepares and submits accurate expense reports
- Processes and tracks regulatory correspondence and responses via email and/or certified mail
- Organizes and coordinates monthly Sequential Safety and Environmental meetings
- Prepares presentations, reviews slide decks, hosts and edits live recording for viewing and distribution of Sequential Safety meetings
- Maintains confidential and sensitive information
- Self-motivated and works effectively with minimal direction
- Willingness to perform other duties as requested or that may be required to maintain compliance
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- Seven (7) years of work experience in an administrative support role
- Valid driver's license
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Teams programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting environmental compliance programs
- Experience with SAP
- Proficiency in SharePoint
- Familiarity with Asana
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
