Purpose/Introduction

Responsibilities

⦁    Follows safe work practices, basic department procedures and contributes to a safe work culture
⦁    Provides maintenance on mechanical process equipment
⦁    Repairs mechanical process equipment
⦁    Inspects and repairs rotating equipment to OEM specifications
⦁    Performs turnaround mechanical maintenance activities and projects
⦁    Provides error-free maintenance services to other departments, customers, and peers
 

Required Qualifications

⦁    High School Diploma/GED
⦁    Certified Apprenticeship Certificate or equivalent documented training history related to maintenance machine shop environment or technical certification or associate degree in instrumentation, electrical, or related field
⦁    A self-starter who can work with minimal supervision  
⦁    Ability to prioritize work to align with goals
⦁    Proven leadership and administrative abilities
⦁    Understanding of safety issues in a hazardous environment 
⦁    Ability to establish respectful relationships with team members at all levels
⦁    Ability to meet deadlines 
⦁    Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
⦁    Experience with the repair of a wide range of centrifugal compressors, pumps, and steam turbines, injection pumps, gearboxes, and cooling fans 
⦁    Valve repair/mechanical experience in the refining or chemical process industry
⦁    Experience with the repair of Gate, Globe, Plug and Check Valves. (repacking, bushing and bonnet repair, gate, and seat repairs) 
⦁    Experience with the repair of Valves Actuators to include Pneumatic piston and electric motor    
⦁    Experience with the repair of specialty valves by WKM, Orbit, Powell, Edwards, and others
⦁    Ability to work overtime hours, rotating schedule and/ give call-out rotation support 
⦁    Proficient at blueprint reading, planning, and organizing job functions
⦁    Ability to read mechanical drawings and product manuals to repair equipment
⦁    Proficient use of precision machinist tools and able to operate a forklift, drott, carrydeck crane, JLG, or other motorized equipment
