Purpose/Introduction
Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking an Air Compliance Assurance Advisor to join our team at our headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas. #HPCP
Responsibilities
- Manages regulations and permits related to company operations
- Develops and implements strategies to maintain environmental compliance
- Develops methods and assembles data for environmental compliance reports and performance tracking
- Evaluating gaps and helps deploy environmental compliance solutions
- Prepares impact review and implements regulatory changes
- Provides environmental training to operations, maintenance, and other departments
- Maintains environmental compliance database
- Conducts environmental audits to evaluate compliance with permits and regulations
- Represents the company during agency inspections and negotiations
- Serves as an internal consultant on environmental projects and solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or science field from an accredited college with at least 5 years of environmental or engineering experience in a chemical/refinery setting
- Proficient in communicating the technical aspects of complex environmental laws and regulations
- Experience with StackVision or other data acquisition system (DAS)
- Effective at working with different departments and contractors in a team environment
- Ability to resolve conflicts and reach agreements with other functional groups
- Developed presentation, writing, planning, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Understanding of chemical process unit operations and wastewater management systems
- Knowledge of environmental laws, permits, and regulations
- Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of plastics and ethylene manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
