Purpose/Introduction

Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking an IT Applications Analyst at its Headquarters location in The Woodlands, Texas. The successful applicant will be provide technical and funcational subject matter expertise in the Manufacturing and EHS space, specially the hosting and the funcational areas of the EHS third-party applications.

This position is eligible for the current hybrid work model (split of remote and office-based days).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the configuration and support of SAP MM, PM, and EHS functionality and related third party applications implemented at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company
  • Serves as primary contact on all system issues and future functionality needs related to assigned modules
  • Works directly with solution providers, internal CPC IT programming staff, and business stakeholders on requirements gathering, functionality design, development, and deployment
  • Provides CPC wide support, consultation, and positive interaction with users of assigned systems to further understanding on the broad and effective use of the systems
  • Leads and participates in new application delivery teams through projects, including evaluation of buy vs. build alternatives and application implementation
  • Participates in answering and resolving issues escalated via the Center of Excellence support team
  • Plays a role in preparation and maintenance of training materials for assigned modules and applications and in the training of end users and other IT team members

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • 5+ years’ hands-on experience with any EH&S software systems (i.e. VisiumKMS, IUCLID, Cority, and various SAP EHS modules) 
  • Experience in all phases of systems implementation, including analysis/design, blueprinting, configuration, documentation, testing, training, and support 
  • Experience with any IT support applications (i.e.Control-M, Remedy, SAP Charm, and JIRA) 
  • Experience in web, database, or file server administration and support 
  • Strong understanding of systems integration, data manipulation, data analysis, and SAP data migration methods
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to investigate in detail, diagnose, and solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex topics in a concise manner (oral/written) to many different audiences, including customers, peers, and leadership
  • Practical project management skills and experience
  • Ability to cooperate and work effectively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural team environment
  • Working knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance and SAP Materials Management and integration between the two 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the integration, configuration, development, and deployment of SAP based systems and relevant third-party software
  • Experience with SAP Ariba Source to Contract and Procure to Pay modules
  • Experience with MCi Track
  • Experience with SAP Fiori applications, including functional support and/or development
  • Experience in project execution using Agile methodology
  • Experience with MS Active Directory integration
  • Exposure to various manufacturing solutions, such as Prometheus Scheduler, Permitting, and Mobility, Omega Pims, GED APM (Meridium), and ATR SmartProcedures
  • Exposure to SAP Project Systems, SAP S/4 HANA, Primavera, MS Projects
  • Knowledge of inventory, procurement, plant maintenance, turnaround, reliability, and operations processes in the petrochemical or refinery industry
  • Working knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools
  • Working job knowledge of EDI, LSMW, BAPI, BADI, IDOC, SmartForms, SAPScript, Adobe Forms, ABAP Queries, QuickViewer
