Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking a Cloud Development Supervisor. This is a departmental leader with a solid front-of-room presence, background in developing software applications, and current strong knowledge of designing, building, and advising teams on the implementation of not only solid custom software but agile ways of working.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in efforts with technical leaders to gather requirements
  • Develop high quality cloud development best practices using the latest cloud technologies
  • Participate in product development and review sessions
  • Collaborate on software architecture and design
  • Guide and mentor a diverse development team, including both developers and SDETs
  • Work directly with software vendors on integration activities
  • Refine and monitor coding standards
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Shephard the exploitation and development of key innersource libraries and services

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related discipline
  • Experience working within an Agile Scrum team structure
  • Must have at least 7 years of experience in application development
  • Experience designing and developing scalable, well-architected software
  • Experience with CI/CD systems and building of workflows used in such systems
  • Interest in researching and experimenting with new technologies outside of core responsibilities
  • Interest in improving the ways people work together to achieve business value
  • A dynamic technically astute individual who understands what it takes to lead a high-performing team of developers using modern technologies
  • An exceptional communicator who can write, present, and effectively adjust messages to meet individual audiences and organizations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience with core web technologies including C#, TypeScript, and React
  • Experience working with GitHub for version control, pull requests/code reviews, and CI/CD using GitHub Actions
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
