Chevron Phillips is currently seeking a Computing Solutions Analyst to join the Computing Solutions Desktop Team at the Headquarters office in The Woodlands, TX.  The Computing Solutions Desktop Team is responsible for providing a world class end-user workstation platform that supports company business goals and assures conformance with Information Technology policies and procedures. The ideal individual thrives on automating and streamlining management tasks and is experienced in enterprise-level end-user computing architecture and design.

 

This position is on a hybrid work model (split of remote and office-based days).

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support the Chevron Phillips standard computing environment (CPDesk), which consists of 10,000 users and 8,000 desktops/laptops across 27 domestic and 25 international sites.
  • Architect, design, deployment and ongoing support of end-user computing systems including, but not limited to, desktops/laptops/tablets, device management and the associated operating systems and applications.
  • Manage new deployments/releases, upgrades, relocations, security patching, automation, monitoring, lifecycle, and maintenance/repairs for the enterprise.
  • Provide Level 3 technical guidance to support personnel across the enterprise.
  • Evaluate and implement new hardware and software technologies.
  • Consult and collaborate across the organization on workstation-related projects and technologies.
  • Deliver high quality, constantly adapting, excellent end-user technology services.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum education of bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting a managed desktop environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Configuration Manager or Intune)
  • Experience deploying/managing Windows operating systems and security updates

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Management Information Systems
  • 5+ years of experience supporting a managed desktop environment
  • Experience supporting IT services for petrochemical manufacturing
  • Experience managing Windows Autopilot
  • Experience using relational databases and APIs to generate custom queries and reports
  • Experience in aspects of workstation management, including hardware lifecycle, software deployment and standardization
  • Experience writing PowerShell scripts/tools for administrative and automation tasks
