Purpose/Introduction

The Industrial Control System (ICS) Security Analyst role is to architect, write, design, and implement security policies, standards, procedures, and tools to ensure the security of our ICS systems. Additionally, this role will help provide governance over ICS Security plans at CPChem’s manufacturing sites.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent written skills and an understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and industry standards. The successful candidate must also understand process control systems, information technology and have a strong history of technical accomplishments. This position will be part of the Business Transformation, IT Manufacturing organization and will work closely with the other IT groups, Process Automation, Instrumentation, Electrical groups, and Internal Audit.

 

This position is eligible for the current hybrid work model (split of remote and office-based days) and provides 24/7 callout on critical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Track ICS Security exceptions, audit response plans, and other ICS Security efforts
  • Work closely with site ICS Security Analysts, and other groups on security issues and system designs to ensure that business needs are balanced against security requirements
  • Lead efforts on technical teams to enhance security of ICS environments
  • Manage central ICS monitoring tools, their rollout, and coordinate reporting for all CPChem manufacturing sites
  • Anticipate security and networking events and implement preventive measures.
  • Work with all manufacturing sites to develop and implement corporate best practices
  • Develop good working relationships with other groups including, Process Automation, Corporate Support Staffs, and Operations
  • Provide documentation and training plans for new and existing toolsets
  • Develop comprehensive ICS security plans and prioritize projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline, plus 6+ years’ experience working in chemicals, oil and gas or adjacent industries in IT and/or process automation, electrical or instrumentation
  • Or in lieu of bachelor's degree, High School Diploma/GED, plus 10+ years’ experience working in chemicals, oil and gas or adjacent industries in IT and/or process automation, electrical or instrumentation
  • Available for 24/7 callout on critical issues
  • Knowledge of Industry standard security frameworks (i.e. NIST, ISA, NERC CIP)  
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple projects
  • Experience with Process Control Systems / Industrial Control Systems environments
  • Experience developing requests for proposals (RFP’s), gathering quotes from vendors, developing financial information and project plans and leading projects is preferred
  • Enterprise/global experience implementing tools/procedures in a large corporate organization
  • Ability to produce highly technical documentation as required
  • Experience working with IT audit, IT security controls, and performing gap assessments on security controls
  • Must be self-motivated, assertive, energetic, possess a strong work ethic and work with minimal managerial intervention
  • Must have the ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Must possess a strong customer service focus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and testing abilities
  • Strong commitment to safety and IT security

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of CPChem processes for change management, and project management
  • Technical certifications in cyber security, network or server technologies
