Purpose/Introduction

Chevron Phillips is currently seeking an ICS Auditor to join the Finance organization located in The Woodlands, TX headquarters location. The ICS Auditor is responsible for analyzing and assessing Industrial Control Systems (ICS) technological infrastructure, applications, and systems to ensure processes run securely, accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.  The IT ICS auditor leads IT ICS audit projects through planning, risk analysis, data collection, testing, analysis, and reporting. 

 

This position is eligible for the current hybrid work model (split of remote and office-based days).

 

This position requires frequent travel, by air, and CPChem’s current travel protocols require employees be vaccinated against COVID-19 to travel by air on company business. This position requires frequent in-person attendance at meetings and large group events, some of which may be held in locations that require vaccination for entry or which may require vaccination under CPChem’s current COVID-19 prevention protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in audit engagement planning and reporting activities.
  • Coordinate, plan and execute IT ICS audit activities within the organization.
  • Develop and implement complex audit test plans.
  • Determine audit scope and objective and accordingly prepare audit work plan.
  • Identify critical risks and recommend corrective steps to address the risks.
  • Adhere to auditing standards established by the company’s audit department.
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to IT Audit Manager.
  • Ensure that previous audit recommendations are addressed and implemented.
  • Develop audit reports including results and recommendations for management.
  • Address auditing and operational issues in promptly.
  • Identify best practices to meet audit requirements in a timely manner.
  • Occasionally conduct or participate in non-ICS IT audits as necessitated by audit schedule requirements.
  • Maintain clear and complete IT audit documentations.
  • Demonstrate strong communications/presentation skills with clients and management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Experience with DCS (i.e. Emerson, Honeywell, Yokogawa, or comparable DCS) 
  • 5 years of relevant/recent ICS security experience spanning infrastructure, applications, security, distributed control system (DCS), programmable logic controller (PLC), or related industrial control systems. 
  • Working knowledge of the Purdue Model for control hierarchy.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, data-intuition, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Excel pivot tables and data analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification - CISA, CISM, or equivalent (e.g. progress towards professional certification) 
  • Technical certifications – MCSE, CCNA, or equivalent 
  • DCS vender technical certifications related to Emerson, Honeywell, or Yokogawa DCS. 
  • Relevant experience with industrial protocols such as HART, PROFINET, Fieldbus, RS-232, RS-485, and/or related protocols 
  • Experience in the chemical or manufacturing industry
  • Data analytics exposure and working knowledge of Power BI or equivalent analytics/dashboarding product
