Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to join the Business Transformation organization at The Woodlands, TX headquarters location. The individual is a strong contributor with excellent communication skills. Working on a team of UX/UI Designers, they work collaboratively with Agile Product Owners and Organizational Change Managers to understand application audiences, their needs, and how a new or changed application affects them. This is then translated into highly effective UI designs, aligning with web/mobile standards, user expectations, and accessibility guidelines. Lastly, they are the point of contact for application developers as their designs are implemented and evolved.


This position is eligible for the current hybrid work model (split of remote and office-based days).


  • Investigation of user experience design requirements
  • Production of high-quality UX design solutions using wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes
  • Design of UI elements and collaboration with others to ensure consistency between applications
  • Direct, effective collaboration with product team members, application consumers, and program management to establish and iterate on designs
  • Incorporation of feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into designs
  • Adherence to existing design standards, establishment of new standards, and commitment to continued iteration of standards to meet industry and client expectations

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer
  • Portfolio of professional UX/UI design work for both web and mobile platforms
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI best practices and principles across web and mobile
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Computer Interaction or related discipline
  • Highly proficient with Figma for UI design and collaboration
  • Experience implementing designs using HTML and CSS
  • Experience with broad range of industry standard prototyping and design tooling
  • Experience measuring UX/UI effectiveness for the improvement of designs
  • Experience using GitHub / branching for version control and developer collaboration
  • Experience working within an Agile Scrum team structure
  • Interest in researching and experimenting with new technologies outside of core responsibilities
