Responsibilities

Commercial: 
●    Negotiates/develops commercial warehouse/service provider contracts for packaging and warehousing services, negotiates continuously improved pricing programs
●    Identifies cost improvement opportunities, follows to completion and examines cost metrics and plausibility for different warehousing and packaging options
●    Develops/maintains commercial relationships with warehouse/consumable/service providers and internal business units
●    Provides guidance for packaging and warehousing needs to business units
●    Monitors and maintains the packager/warehouse/service provider and packaging materials portfolio
●    Evaluates potential vendors and service providers to meet current or future warehousing and packaging needs 
●    Participates in industry associations as needed
●    Provides monthly, annual, and ad hoc warehousing and packaging reports to management
●    Supports forecasting and budgeting to business units and invoice reconciliation
●    Oversee Organizational Capability objectives and promote employee development

Responsibilities (continued)

Operational Responsibilities:

●    Develops and implements operating standards and procedures, implements procedures to perform the packaging & warehousing tasks as required
●    Optimizes warehousing/service provider operations, inventory turn times, asset utilization, etc.
●    Establishes and maintains relationships with key operating personnel
●    Manages and supervises day-to-day operations with service providers, warehouses, packaging material suppliers, etc.
●    Resolves performance issues with packaging materials, warehousing/packager/service providers, facilitates and communicates to stakeholders.  Investigates complaints for service or products from warehousing/packaging activities.

●    Identifies opportunities for innovation/sustainability on packaging and packaging materials

●    Conducts regularly scheduled audits and physical counts with warehouse/ service/packaging material providers and others as needed

●    Operational Excellence implementation and adherence to standards

Required Qualifications

●    Bachelor's degree in business, industrial engineering, packaging, supply chain, logistics, or other technical fields
●    A minimum of 5 years relevant experience

●    Commercial negotiation experience
●    Excellent oral and written communication skills
●    Analytical and problem-solving skills
●    Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
●    Proficient in Microsoft tools. (Excel, Word, PowerBI, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
●    Ability to work well in a team environment 

●    Requires some afterhours work and requires travel

Preferred Qualifications

●    Working knowledge of SAP and EDI tools

●    Commercial and/or operational experience in logistics, warehousing and packaging

●    Ability to interact with internal/external stakeholders

●    Ability to nurture customer and supplier relationships

●    Solid organizational skills

●    Manufacturing/Quality Control background
